Senaji Massage

senaji massageSenaji Massage is a superb original collaboration of Eastern and Western massage strokes and theories. Manual massaging of soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, and fascia) from Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage as well as work on the energy meridians that flow throughout the body from Thai Massage gives this original massage modality its outstanding character and effectiveness. You will thoroughly enjoy having your body’s energy blocks cleared allowing free flow, then having the muscles kneaded and worked on with lotion or oil until they are supple, finally receiving gentle stretching so that your body remembers to keep the relaxed, smooth condition even after the massage has long been over!

Traditional Thai Massage

Traditional Thai MassageThai massage helps to release blocks in the energy meridians in the body (“sen” lines) by way of direct pressure using thumbs, palms, elbows, and occasionally knees. Stretching techniques similar to Yoga are also employed. Thai massage is sometimes known as “lazy Yoga” because of these stretching techniques.. In Thai massage, the client is clothed in comfortable attire and the massage is performed on a mat on the floor.
Our Thai Massage is based on the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai (TMC) style, well known for its soothing, gentle, polite approach. TMC is proud to have been awarded the Thailand Royal Award for Best Vocational School 2005. For those interested in more information, please refer to their homepage.

Western Massage

Western MassageThis massage modality combines Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage to promote healing and total relaxation by physically manipulating soft tissue. Per Henrik Ling created Swedish Massage in the 18th century as treatment for a variety of ailments. Swedish Massage is the most common form of massage in the West and is used as a base for many types of massage available today. A variety of strokes are used with a massage lubricant such as oil, lotion, gel, or cream to aid in a smooth massage stroke. The massage is performed on a specially designed massage table. Relaxation and effectiveness at its best! For those stubborn and chronically tense areas, Deep Tissue techniques are employed where the soft tissues under the skin are manually stretched as a warm-up for the direct pressure applied to tender points in muscle tissue and tendons, creating a release in contracted, tight muscle.

Aroma Massage

Aroma MassageThis gentle massage will relax you completely! Senaji Studio’s 100% pure essential oil blends are especially designed for this massage. As the aromas drift through your nose and the oils penetrate your skin, your body’s natural ability to relax is amplified, resulting in a little heaven on earth!

Sports Massage

Whether it`s before or after a game, or perhaps just maintenance in the off-season, this massage is based on Swedish strokes but designed for the athlete. Brisk strokes will get you ready for the upcoming event, while slow, soothing strokes will cool you down after playing. In between games, soft tissue is kept in top condition so that you can play your best when needed.

Chair Massage

Chair MassageFor those in a hurry, we have designed a Senaji Chair Massage just for you! Whether for 20 or 30 minutes, this chair massage will perk you up or calm you down for whatever time of day the need arises. Using a variety of strokes taken from Thai and Western modalities, your stress will be relieved while your muscles begin to return to their smooth, supple condition.

Special Note

In Senaji Studio, an original, custom-designed uniform is worn so that each body part may be unwrapped when being worked on but then covered again, assuring a modest, safe, comfortable healing experience for both men and women, in Eastern or Western massage modalities.
